I am a divorced Dad of 2 wonderful kids who is lucky enough to have shared custody and they spend as much time with me as they do with their Mom. It was a great struggle to get this and I essentially paid about 4 times what normal child support to get this. I have since been able to get the amount reduced to the normal child support level and hope to shortly payoff the debt that I incurred to ensure that my kids are with me. I fully support your efforts and sincerely hope that your trek is safe and successful so that in the future such hardship is not required to ensure the rights of the kids to be with both their parents.
